Rita Orland, President, Wings, Inc. NCIDQ Certificate No. 023364*

Rita Orland, President, Wings, Inc., gained extensive international travel and business experience while working for Pan American World Airways, Inc.  As a “Stewardess,” she was based in New York and San Francisco.  Later, transferring her base to the Pan Am Regional sales office in Chicago, she managed and operated events, travel programs, trade shows, meetings, conventions and charters.

While working with Pan American World Airways, Inc. and traveling the globe, Rita was inspired by architecture, interior design, art, music, theater, cultures and cuisine around the globe. All of this eventually led to a career expansion – into Interior Design.

A Professional Interior Designer, as well as a seasoned International Travel Specialist, these two passions are now fused into Wings’ two brands:  Design + ArchiTours.

Creative use of space, attention to details, and the utilization of materials appropriate to the design, characterize Rita’s interiors. A style she personally prefers is the juxtaposition of sophistication and restraint that still feels casual and inviting.  Global travels are always an inspiration. Her goal is to create satisfying interiors that reflect the personalities and lifestyles of her clients.

Rita earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design at the Design Institute of San Diego in California. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Behavior and Business from Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois.

The mark of a true Design Professional, Rita holds the NCIDQ Certificate – the National Council for Interior Design Qualification – the highest level of design qualification available in the U.S. and Canada. To learn more about Interior Design qualifications, visit the web site for NCIDQ Qualification.
